About The Deyhle Brothers

Founded in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1820 by brothers Christian Wilhelm and Gottlob Karl Deyhle, this firm became one of the oldest and largest silverware factories in Gmünd, operating until the end of the 1990s. The Deyhle Brothers were renowned for their combination of traditional craftsmanship with modern design sensibilities, creating pieces that were both beautiful and eminently practical for everyday use.

Design & Craftsmanship

This jam and honey set showcases the transition from ornate Victorian styles to the cleaner, more functional aesthetic of the early 20th century. The combination of silver with cut-decorated glass demonstrates the period's appreciation for mixed materials and the interplay of different textures and light-reflecting surfaces.
